From August 6th to 9th, the Road to Mallorca stops in Scotland with the Scottish Challenge supported by The R&A, scheduled for SCHLOSS Roxburghe.

After debuting in the 2025 season, the competition returns to the Dave Thomas-designed course, one of the most popular layouts in the United Kingdom, previously home to the Scottish Senior Open and stages of the DP World Tour Qualifying School. The Roxburghe Championship Course is a par-72 course that winds through wide fairways and changes in elevation, offering a complete and fascinating test. The signature hole is the 14th, nicknamed «The Viaduct»: a par-5 that runs along the River Teviot and offers spectacular views of the iconic bridge that spans the course.

The Scottish Challenge has already written important pages in the history of the circuit. In 2013, at Macdonald Spey Valley Golf Club, Brooks Koepka (then with two victories under his belt on the HotelPlanner Tour) won the title by three shots, earning an immediate promotion to the DP World Tour. Just eighteen months later, he would secure his first world championship at the 2014 Turkish Airlines Open. A year later, again at Spey Valley, Englishman Andrew Johnston closed with a 66 (-5) in the final round and won by three shots. In 2025, Daniel Young beat Julien Quesne by just one shot, reaching a total of -19 thanks to two rounds of 64. The tournament also confirms the privileged relationship between the HotelPlanner Tour and the Tartan Pro Tour, Scotland’s only professional circuit and an important springboard for local talent to Europe. The top three in the Tartan Pro Tour Order of Merit (John Vogelphol, Michael Stuart, and Sam Locke) will join Rory Franssen, winner of the Infortar Estonian Challenge and a 2025 Tartan Pro Tour qualifier.

Italy will be represented by an interesting quartet. Lorenzo Scalise, currently 36th in the Road to Mallorca, is the highest-placed of the group and is aiming to consolidate his position in the standings. He is followed by Matteo Cristoni (39th), Jacopo Vecchi Fossa (52nd), and Aron Zemmer, all determined to collect important points in the battle for DP World Tour cards.
