Richard Sterne, 44, from Pretoria, sealed his seventh title on the tour in thirteen years with a closing 66 (-5), featuring a birdie and an eagle on the final three holes (preceded by three birdies and a bogey). Sterne left Denmark’s Jacob Skov Olesen, Spain’s Jorge Campillo, Japan’s Kota Kaneko, France’s Victor Perez, England’s Marcus Armitage, and Sweden’s Marcus Kinhult, who tied for second with a 268 (-16), two shots behind.

South African Zander Lombard, the three-round leader and then tied for eighth with De Leo, lost after a 74 (+3). Also finishing with Lombard were England’s Ben Schmidt and Nathan Kimsey, and fellow South African MJ Daffue. Renato Paratore is in the middle of the rankings, 30th with a 274 (-10), and Matteo Manassero is at the bottom, 53rd with a 277 (-7).

Sterne, in addition to his tour wins, boasts two other victories on the Sunshine Tour, in addition to the four combined with the continental circuit, and one on the EuroPro Tour. He received a check for $467,500 on a prize pool of $2,750,000.
