On the Kurt Roßknecht-designed parkland course (par 72), players will compete on a layout with wide fairways, numerous bunkers, bodies of water, and fast, well-defended greens. It’s a course that rewards precision and putting, with the potential for low scores in favorable conditions.

Eugenio Chacarra is coming off two consecutive victories (the KLM Open in the Netherlands and the Italian Open last week) and dominates the European Swing rankings. The Spaniard has built a significant lead and, with 3,500 Race to Dubai points up for grabs (585 for the winner), appears poised to capture the European Swing title, which guarantees exemption to Back 9 events from August onward and a $200,000 bonus. Only Japan’s Kota Kaneko still has a chance, but he would need to win the tournament to have a realistic chance.

The top non-exempt DP World Tour member will also earn an invitation to the Genesis Scottish Open (Rolex Series). Oliver Lindell is currently in pole position for this benefit. Additionally, the top five (non-exempt) finishers in the Race to Dubai within the top 20 at the end of the tournament will earn a spot at The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale.
