«I know nothing about business. I will never pretend to know anything about business, and if I were in a meeting, I wouldn’t know where to start.»
«My job is to play golf, and I’d say it’s hard enough as it is…»
Let’s move on to Sergio Garcia, who has a different perspective:
«We’re very happy with what our CEO, Scott, and his team are organizing.»
«We’re happy to be involved, contributing, and trying to understand how we can work together to ensure the League continues its journey.»
«I believe that, more than being concerned about whether the League will continue to exist, it’s about how it will continue to exist.»
In essence, the Team Fireballs Captain raises the topic of a possible transformation that will lead to the LIV being different from what we know.
Then we have Cameron Smith, who is pushing for austerity, proposing a reduction in prize money, which he believes would not compromise the League’s appeal:
