Carlota Ciganda is competing in her eighth Solheim Cup, bringing veteran experience as she awaits the pivotal moments likely to unfold from Friday’s second session onwards. That is also when Julia López—another Spaniard and one of European golf’s rising stars—could make her debut. She is one of four rookies, alongside Woad, Nastasia Nadaud, and Mimi Rhodes, while Esther Henseleit, Maja Stark, Linn Grant, and Nanna Koerstz Madsen round out the European team.

The venue for the showdown is Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt (North Brabant, Netherlands). It is a par-72 course measuring 6,790 meters. A relatively new facility, it has previously hosted tournaments on the DP World Tour. This week hosts one of the biggest events of the year in the world of golf, with Europe hoping the ‘home-course advantage’ will help them reclaim the Solheim Cup.
