Japan’s Miyu Yamashita delivered one of the most impressive performances of the LPGA Tour season, capturing the CPKC Women’s Open at Royal Mayfair Golf Club with a wire-to-wire victory and a final margin of nine shots. Yamashita opened with a course-record 62, followed by 64 and 65 to enter the final round with a six-shot lead. On Sunday, she closed with a solid 66 (four under), capped by a birdie on the final hole. She also set a new tournament record, surpassing Jin Young Ko (2019), and lifted her fourth career LPGA title (her second in 2026 after the Meijer LPGA Classic), achieved in four different countries. She had previously won the Women’s British Open and the Maybank Championship, finishing as Rookie of the Year. She also has 13 titles on the Japan LPGA.

Compatriot Yuri Yoshida finished second at 14-under, nine points behind. Sei Young Kim finished third at 13-under. Among the Canadians, the younger players shine: 17-year-old professional Anna Huang finished tied for fourth at 12-under thanks to a final 65, while 16-year-old amateur Aphrodite Deng (winner of the 2025 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship and a native of Calgary) is tied for seventh at 11-under.
