Jon Rahm’s LIV Golf teammate Tom McKibbin has attracted attention after appearing at the DP World India Championship without his usual Legion XIII clothing, at a time when many players are considering whether to continue playing on the Saudi-backed circuit.
The 23-year-old Northern Irish golfer joined Rahm’s team in January 2025, but his appearance at Delhi Golf Club this week was quite different from what fans had become used to seeing.
Instead of wearing Legion XIII apparel, McKibbin was spotted wearing clothing with various golf course logos, including a Friar’s Head cap.
The change comes just days after Rahm confirmed that he would not participate in LIV Golf 2.0, the proposed new version of the circuit.
However, McKibbin has not confirmed that he intends to leave LIV Golf, and his decision to wear different clothing does not necessarily mean that he has made a final decision about his future.

The Northern Irishman was not the only player who decided against wearing his usual LIV Golf team clothing in India.
Laurie Canter, who joined Majesticks GC at the beginning of 2026, was also seen without his team’s logos.
The English golfer used a Cypress Point golf bag and wore a Wentworth cap during the tournament.
Peter Uihlein was another player who recently appeared without LIV Golf branding. The American, who represents Range Goats GC, wore a Titleist cap during an Asian Tour event.
Meanwhile, David Puig made a similar change earlier this month when he appeared at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship without Fireballs GC clothing.
The Spaniard later confirmed that he would not take part in LIV 2.0 and that he wanted to continue his career on the DP World Tour.
McKibbin has not made a similar announcement, although the situation could become clearer in the coming days.
Players reportedly have until October 25 to decide whether they want to be part of the new LIV Golf project.
Rahm and other players decide to leave LIV Golf
Rahm’s departure has been one of the most talked-about developments in golf during October.
The former Masters champion joined LIV Golf in December 2023 after agreeing to a contract reportedly worth more than $300 million.
However, the Spanish golfer recently decided that he did not want to continue playing on the circuit under its proposed new structure.
Earlier this month, his lawyer John Beck explained the 31-year-old’s position during a bankruptcy hearing in New Jersey.
«Mr. Rahm has independently reviewed the proposed terms of LIV 2.0, and has determined that those terms are unacceptable to him, and he will not be participating going forward in LIV 2.0,» Beck said.
On October 15, it was reported that Rahm and LIV Golf had reached a separation agreement.
The two-time Grand Slam tournament equivalent winner in golf, a two-time major champion, reportedly agreed to give up claims to more than $100 million remaining on his contract in order to leave the circuit.
Rahm is now expected to focus on competing elsewhere, although his next steps regarding the PGA Tour remain uncertain.

Several other golfers have also decided that they do not want to continue with LIV Golf next season.
Thomas Pieters, who played for Dustin Johnson’s 4 Aces GC, recently confirmed that he would not participate in the proposed new version of the league.
The Belgian has won six times on the DP World Tour and earned more than $25 million in prize money during his time with LIV Golf.
Charles Howell III is another experienced golfer who has been linked with a departure, while Puig has already announced his intention to focus on the European circuit.
Adrian Meronk has also been considering his future.
Interestingly, the Polish golfer continued wearing his Cleeks GC clothing in India despite reports suggesting that he could leave LIV Golf.
Speaking during the tournament, Meronk admitted that he had not made an official decision and wanted more time.
«I haven’t made an official decision yet. I’m still going to wait 2-3 weeks, I think, and then see what happens. But most likely, I’ll stay on DP and compete back on DP,» Meronk said.
The 33-year-old recently won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, which secured his DP World Tour playing rights until 2028.
On the other hand, Richard Bland, Cameron Tringale and Victor Perez are among the players who have expressed their intention to continue with LIV Golf 2.0.
There is also a lot of interest in what Bryson DeChambeau will decide.

The American has been one of LIV Golf’s best-known players, but his participation in the proposed new project has not yet been confirmed.
LIV Golf has experienced a difficult period following the withdrawal of financial backing from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
The league is now trying to complete a restructuring process, with player commitments expected to be important for its future.
For McKibbin, the situation comes during his second season as a LIV Golf player.
The Northern Irishman won his first DP World Tour title at the Porsche European Open in 2023 and later decided to accept an offer to join Rahm’s Legion XIII team.
His decision attracted attention at the time because Rory McIlroy had previously advised him to continue playing on the traditional tours.
McKibbin has since competed on both LIV and the DP World Tour.
He was among the players participating at this week’s DP World India Championship, which concludes on Sunday at Delhi Golf Club.
With the October 25 deadline approaching, it remains to be seen whether the 23-year-old will continue representing Legion XIII or decide to take a different direction in his career.
