Spaniard Eugenio Chacarra returned to winning ways after more than a year, winning the KLM Open title with a 273 (69, 69, 65, 70, -11) round. In the final round, Chacarra, leading after three rounds with Sweden’s Sebastian Soderberg, shot a 70 (-1, four birdies, three bogeys), defeating Finn Oliver Lindell, who was trailing him on a 274 (-10). Lindell had tied him with a birdie on the par-5 final hole (69, -2, four birdies, two bogeys), where he had arrived ahead of his opponent. The Spaniard, however, avoided a playoff with a perfect second shot to the green and two putts, also for birdie.

Soderberg, struggling all day, finished third with a 276 (-8), joined by Austria’s Maximilian Steinlechner, rising Spaniard Angel Ayora, and England’s Joe Dean. In seventh place with a 277 (-7) were France’s Julien Guerrier, a consistent performer, and England’s Danny Willett, a major winner. In ninth place was China’s Yanhan Zhou with a 278 (-6). Defending champion Scotland’s Connor Syme was only 71st with a 295 (+11).

Of the other Italians, Matteo Manassero (73, 69, 71, 71) and Francesco Molinari (69, 69, 70, 76), who suffered a decline in the final round, finished 32nd with a score of 284 (par), Stefano Mazzoli in 48th with a score of 287 (74, 68, 69, 76, +3), and Renato Paratore in 60th with a score of 290 (71, 68, 75, 76, +6). Gregorio De Leo, 93rd with a score of 145 (75, 70, +3), was cut, and Filippo Celli retired.

Eugenio López-Chacarra Coto, a 26-year-old from Madrid who has turned pro since 2022, secured his second title on the tour in his 45th appearance, following his previous victory at the 2025 Hero Indian Open. He also boasts a victory on the Asian Tour and one on LIV Golf (International Bangkok, 2022), where he played for a time. For this feat, he received a check for $467,500 on a prize pool of $2,750,000.
