Eugenio Chacarra won the 83rd DS Automobiles Italian Open with a dominant performance, providing a high-level golf spectacle at Circolo Golf Torino. The DP World Tour continues its European Swing with the eleventh National Open of the season: from June 25 to 28, 2026, the DS Automobiles 83rd Italian Open will be played on the Blue Course of the Circolo Golf Torino. It’s a long-awaited return: the club last hosted the event in 2014, and after the Marco Simone, Cervia, and Argentario stages, the tournament returns to the cradle of Piedmont golf.

Frenchman Adrien Saddier will arrive as the defending champion. In 2025, in his 200th appearance on the DP World Tour, he scored his first career victory at Argentario with a spectacular finish: a final-round 66, 30 shots on the back nine, which allowed him to come back and win by two shots over Martin Couvra. It was a memorable season for him: second at the BMW PGA Championship after a playoff and ninth in the Race to Dubai, a result that secured him dual membership on the PGA Tour for 2026. This week marks his return to the European Tour outside of the Majors.

The tournament promises to be a spectacle. Three Major Champions, a former world No. 1, six LIV Golf players, and eleven season winners on the DP World Tour, as well as the best Italians, are on the starting line.

Patrick Reed leads the Race to Dubai and is one of the main attractions: the American will be looking to consolidate his lead in the rankings. Alongside him, big names such as Danny Willett (2016 Masters winner), Luke Donald (former world number 1 and Ryder Cup captain, who returns to Italy after his triumph at the Marco Simone 2023), Joaquín Niemann and other LIV members such as Branden Grace, David Puig, José Luis Ballester and Elvis Smylie.
