Spain’s Carolina Chacarra won her first Ladies European Tour title with a convincing victory at the Hulencourt Women’s Open in Belgium. In her third tournament as a rookie, the Spaniard finished 12-under par, three shots ahead of Australian Kelsey Bennett.

Starting two shots behind leader Bennett, Chacarra completed an excellent final round of 68 (-4) without a bogey, thanks to decisive birdies on the par-3s of the 2nd and 5th holes in the first half of the round and on the par-3 of the 13th hole in the second. In the finale, she responded with a birdie on the 17th hole to the Australian’s chip-in on the 16th, finishing with a two-putt for par.

«It was a perfect day, I’m so happy. No bogeys and lots of birdies. My caddie helped me stay focused, and we created a lot of opportunities,» commented the Spaniard, visibly emotional, especially on the final holes. The victory earned her qualification for the ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open and the Major AIG Women’s Open, as well as a leap to second place in the 2026 rookie rankings.

This success comes just weeks after her older brother Eugenio’s consecutive victories on the DP World Tour (KLM Open and Italian Open), a golden moment for the Chacarra family.

Among the Italian players, Roberta Liti was the best, finishing 39th with a total of +5 (74-75-77-67). A strong recovery in the final round with a 67 (-5) allowed her to climb the rankings and finish tied with Maria Vittoria Corbi (71-74-74-74), also in 39th place.

Alessia Nobilio finished 67th at +13 (76-73-80-72), while Anna Zanusso failed to make the cut.

India’s Aditi Ashok finished in third place at -7, with a solid 70 ahead of the Amundi Evian Championship. At -4, Switzerland’s Morgane Metraux and England’s Bronte Law tied for fourth. Hannah Screen put in an excellent performance, shooting a 66 (-6) that earned her sixth place overall.

Tied for seventh place at -2 were, among others, South Africa’s Nadia van der Westhuizen, America’s Brianna Navarrosa, Australia’s Kirsten Rudgeley, India’s Diksha Dagar, and Finland’s Noora Komulainen (who won last week in the Czech Republic).

South Africa’s Casandra Alexander remains in the lead of the LET Order of Merit rankings. Kelsey Bennett moves up to third, while Carolina Chacarra enters the top 25.
