As a young woman, she skied competitively, but then decided to give it up to devote herself to golf, also competitively. Caterina, born in 2001 in Pinerolo, near Turin, enjoyed her first significant successes on the green, but today she also finds great satisfaction as coach of the Eastern Michigan University women’s team: starting from 27th place, Caterina completed a historic performance, reaching the semifinals of the NCAA Division I National Championships.

As highlighted by numerous articles in American newspapers, much of the credit goes to the work of coaches Josh Brewer and our own Caterina Don, in her role as graduate assistant coach.

Caterina, currently in the USA, is a member of the Italian National Elite Ladies Team. Her list of accomplishments includes two titles in the European Girls’ Team Championship (2016 and 2018), a World Girls’ Team Championship (2018), a Vagliano Trophy (2019) and a Junior Vagliano Trophy in 2017, both with the Continental European team, and the 2019 Minnesota Invitational.
When asked about the excellent work done and the results she’s achieved, including as a coach, Caterina Don said she was very happy and gratified.

«It was certainly a positive and rewarding season for our team,» said the Piedmontese. «Thanks to our last performance and the result we achieved, Eastern Michigan University is now considered among the best in the United States. The experiences I had as a player in team competitions with the Italian national team have been fundamental to my current role as coach, and I once again thank the FIG for everything they have done for me as an amateur player.»
