Spanish amateur golfer Paula Martín Sampedro has joined the Sun Day Red team, Tiger Woods’ golf apparel and footwear brand, the company announced on Instagram. The announcement comes after Paula’s NCAA title win with Stanford and presents the summer as a new challenge for the player.

Born in 2005, she is one of Spain’s top amateur golfers: she won the Women’s Amateur Championship and the European Ladies Amateur Championship in 2015, and had already worn Sun Day Red pieces in April during the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, before the brand had officially launched its women’s line.

Sun Day Red was founded in 2014 after Woods’ split with Nike and has been gaining a foothold in high-end golf stores, with plans for international expansion starting in 2027.

The first documents attesting to the existence of rules of golf date back to March 1744. The rules were produced for a competition to be held at a Scottish golf club, and contained 13 points in total.[3] Initially, writing the rules was the responsibility of each individual club and so they varied depending on where the game was played.
