Nelly Korda’s next stop in this particularly busy summer is the Women’s PGA Championship in Minnesota, where the world number one will attempt to win her third consecutive major this week. «I feel like in everything you do in life—whether it’s in the world of finance or in this—the more you expose yourself to that situation, the more comfortable you feel,» Korda declared Wednesday at Hazeltine National Golf Club. «I think the biggest change I decided to make is simply to be authentic and show myself as I am. That may be perceived well or not, but all I want is to be genuine,» she noted.

Korda, whose prize money has exceeded $5.3 million this year, has won four of the nine tournaments she has entered, finishing outside the top ten only once this season. She leads the race for the Vare Trophy—which awards the lowest scoring average on the LPGA—by 1.15 strokes over Hyo Joo Kim. The only women to have won the first three majors of a season are Inbee Park (in 2013) and Babe Zaharias (in 1950, when the schedule only included three majors).

After this tournament, the final two majors will be played in Europe: the Evian Championship in France (July 9-12) and the Women’s British Open in England (July 30-August 2). After winning the Chevron Championship in April, Korda took the victory this month at the U.S. Open. Women’s Open, beating Charley Hull and Gaby López by one stroke. History awaits her at the PGA.

Five Spanish women are participating in the tournament: Carlota Ciganda, Azahara Muñoz, Julia López, Carolina López-Chacarra, and Carla Mulet. Ciganda is once again leading the Spanish golf contingent, aiming for a strong result.
