Spanish golfer Josele Ballester has achieved remarkable results since his arrival at the LIV Golf League in mid-2025 as a member of the Fireballs GC team. 

After turning pro, he made his debut in June 2025 and achieved two top-10 finishes in just six tournaments played. At the LIV Golf Chicago tournament he took an outstanding tied 2nd (T2) with a score of -9, while at LIV Golf UK he finished tied 7th (T7) with the same score. 

His biggest success that year came in November at the Saudi International (an International Series tournament affiliated with LIV), where he achieved his first professional victory with an impressive -22 and thus secured full status for the following season. 

In the current 2026 season, Ballester is playing in top form and is among the top 10 players overall. At the LIV Golf Virginia tournament, he made league history when he shot a round of 12 under par (60 shots), setting a course record and tying the lowest score in LIV history, and finished the tournament in 5th place with a -17 total. 

Additionally, he tied for 3rd at LIV Golf Mexico City (-14), tied for 6th at LIV Golf Singapore (-9) and tied for 12th at LIV Golf South Africa (-17). These great games at LIV were followed by a successful passage to the prestigious major tournament The Open Championship 2026.

Most consider the young Spaniard to be one of the greatest prospects in the world of golf. However, this situation certainly raises concerns for the Spaniard, who is aware that the shut down of LIV Golf would be a serious blow to him and his teammates.
