Sweden’s Moa Svedenskiold claimed her second title of the season on the LET Access. With a spectacular comeback from 24th place, she shot 69 (-3, five birdies, two bogeys), the tournament’s best overall round score, to win the CSK Steel Women’s Open at HimmerLand Golf Courses (par 72) in Gatten, near Farso, Denmark, with a 221 (74, 78, 69, +5). None of the 132 competitors finished below par (only five rounds below 72).

Moa Svedenskiold, a 22-year-old Swede from Uppsala, finished the tournament with a 221 (74 78 69, +5), tied with Germany’s Lena Geier (221 – 72 74 75), an invitational entry, and Ireland’s Beth Coulter (221 – 70 76 75), who had won the previous Women’s Irish Challenge, her first pro tournament on the tour and the only pro to achieve such a feat on LETAS. She then overtook them with a par on the fourth hole of a rather unusual play-off.

In fact, after Geier bogeyed the first extra hole, Svedenskiold pared on the second, and at that point Coulter, who would have made a bogey, lifted her ball, convinced she had lost. After 10 minutes, the referee informed the Swede that she had been assessed a two-stroke penalty for an irregularity in a bunker, and her par became a double bogey. The Englishwoman was then called to reposition her ball to complete the hole, but she in turn received a one-stroke penalty, making it a double bogey for her as well.

Then, on the fourth hole, Svedenskiold sealed a par for her second title in just ten tour appearances, eight of which were seasonal. In total, in addition to the two victories, she also achieved four more top-ten finishes, climbing to first place in the rankings. She received a check for €8,000 from a prize pool of €50,000.

Two Italians were in the field: Maria Vittoria Corbi, 36th with a score of 232 (79, 77, 76, +16), and Emma Lundgren, 61st with a score of 242 (74, 81, 87, +26), who thus ended her losing streak of three cuts.

The leading trio left Czech Tereza Zapletal Kozeluhova, leader after two rounds, one shot behind in fourth place with a score of 222 (+6), and three behind Sweden’s Elice Fredriksson, Switzerland’s Victoria Levy, and two amateurs: France’s Alice Kong, winner of last year’s Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge, and Denmark’s Marie Madsen, fifth with a score of 223 (+7). In ninth place with a score of 224 (+8), Germany’s Hannah Karg and fellow Danish amateur Christina Jacobsen are in ninth place.
