Maxime Legros scored his third win of the season on the Alps Tour and, like Andrea Romano last week, earned automatic promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour. The Frenchman, already a winner of the Dreamland Open in Egypt and the Miglianico Alps Open, dominated the Open International de la Mirabelle d’Or, his third title of 2026, confirming his excellent form.

Teeing off the final hole one shot behind leader Enrico Di Nitto, Legros immediately parred and then took off with an eagle, five birdies, and just one bogey, finishing with a sumptuous 64 (-7). A championship round that allowed him to edge out his pursuers by six shots and collect €7,090 from a total prize pool of €49,000.

Enrico Di Nitto (64-66-70) finished in second place with 200 strokes (-10), matching Alessandro Nodari (69-66-65), who also finished with an excellent 65. This was Nodari’s fifth consecutive top seven finish of the season, with three second-place finishes.

Davide Buchi (64-69-69) finished fourth with -8 strokes, while Filippo Bergamaschi placed ninth with -6 strokes (69-65-70). Luca Cavalli, Filippo Grossi, Marco Florioli, Mattia Comotti, Alessandro Nardini, Lucas Fallotico, Leonardo Iacovitti, Flavio Michetti, and Carlo Maria Asti also cashed in.

Thanks to this victory, Legros confirmed his position among the year’s top performers. He remains second in the Order of Merit with 26,978 points, behind Andrea Romano (28,873). For both, however, it’s just a statistic: promotion is already secured.

Alessandro Nodari rose from ninth to sixth place (14,020 points), just shy of the top five that guarantees access to the higher circuit at the end of the season. Enrico Di Nitto (14th with 9,424 points) and Filippo Grossi (16th with 8,552 points) also made progress.

Legros said: «I’m very happy and, above all, relieved. I won’t have to answer questions about when the third victory would have arrived,» the Frenchman said. I built a quick lead, but I brought Enrico back with a couple of three-putts. Then on the back nine I pulled away again. After birdieing the 17th, I was finally at peace and was able to enjoy the walk on the 18th. Last year’s injury has made me calmer, and I’ve improved my putting a lot. Now the adventure on the HotelPlanner Tour begins, with the «French swing» close to home: I have six months to adapt.

The Alps Tour season will resume on Thursday, June 11th at the Club de Golf Playa Serena in Roquetas de Mar, Spain, with the Alps de Andalucía – Roquetas de Mar, a crucial event in the race to qualify for the Hulencourt final and promotion to the main tour.
