Joaquin Niemann, Torque GC captain and the player with the most individual victories in LIV Golf history, added to his list of victories at LIV Golf Korea. Alongside him, Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC continued their dominance this season, becoming the most successful team in league history.

Niemann, 27, the youngest captain on the tour, overtook Talor Gooch (OKGC captain) with a birdie on the first playoff hole to claim the eighth individual title of his LIV Golf career. This haul puts him three points clear of his closest rival. This is the Chilean’s first victory of 2026, after five the previous season.

“It was fun,” Niemann commented. “I really like the feeling of winning again.”

Niemann and Gooch had shared the lead after 54 holes, both finishing at 12-under par at the end of the three-day tournament at Asiad Country Club. The Chilean took the lead with four birdies in five holes on the front nine, but Gooch responded with a 28-foot birdie putt on the 16th, bringing the tie back to a tie.

In the playoff, Niemann decided the match with a 140-yard approach that left the ball less than two meters from the hole, setting up the winning birdie.

“I had the feeling that every hole was a kind of match play,” Niemann explained.

Talor Gooch, seeking his fifth individual title, was disappointed: “It’s frustrating when you have the chance to win. Those opportunities don’t come often in this game, and when they come, you have to take them.”

The Crushers GC successfully defended their title from last year (on a different course in Incheon), finishing with a team total of 23-under par, finishing three shots ahead of OKGC. With this win, their second of the season, DeChambeau’s team has 10 regular-season wins, edging out Legion XIII and 4Aces GC and becoming the winningest team in LIV Golf history.

«I’m just grateful, enormously grateful to have such great guys and an amazing team,» said Bryson DeChambeau, third overall at 11-under par and one shot out of the playoff. «We all function differently, but we’re working in the same direction to make this team the best.»
