Dean had a challenging career: until 2022, he competed in the EuroPro, and in 2023, he earned his card through the Qualifying School. He had to wait until February 2024 to make his debut due to financial constraints, while also working as a supermarket deliveryman. Two second-place finishes (Kenya and KLM Open) had already earned him a solid haul and qualification for the DP World Tour Championship; another second-place finish came at the Nexo Championship. Now he’s secured one of the circuit’s most prestigious titles.

The Husqvarna British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo officially marks the start of the Back 9, the second phase of the DP World Tour season. Nine consecutive weeks of historic and prestigious tournaments, with plenty of prizes up for grabs.

This week, the opening event kicks off at the Belfry, on the famous Brabazon Course (par 72, approximately 6,726 meters). Two of Europe’s most important national Opens will follow: the Omega European Masters in Crans-sur-Sierre and the Amgen Irish Open at Trump International Doonbeg. The Rolex Series will then return with the BMW PGA Championship, before the FedEx Open de France at Golf National and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in the birthplace of golf. The sixteenth and final national Open of the season will be the Open de España presented by Madrid at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, while the DP World India Championship at Delhi Golf Club will precede the Swing’s grand finale at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club with the Genesis Championship.
