Trump, who has known Woods for many years, was asked about the golfer’s situation in the Oval Office and said he believed the final outcome was fair.

“I know Tiger very well; he’s a great guy,” Trump said. “He’s unique in so many ways, especially as an athlete but also as a man.”

The president then focused on Woods’ long history of physical problems.

“He suffers great pain,” Trump said.
