LIV Golf has justified its decision to postpone the New Orleans tournament, originally scheduled for June 25-28, to «avoid the intense summer heat and the saturation of the global sports calendar.»

These sources indicated that the request to postpone the event was communicated last Friday to LIV CEO Scott O’Neil in order to «explore the possibility» of holding it in the fall of this year.

The competition, which was to be held for the first time at the Bayou Oaks at City Park course in New Orleans, was to be the tenth event of the season out of a total of fourteen, the last of which was at the end of August in Michigan (United States).
