On a day of wind and rain, England’s Esme Hamilton won the 33rd edition of the Investec SA Women’s Open with a 277 (66 70 70 71, -15). The tournament, organized jointly by the Ladies European Tour and the Sunshine Ladies Tour, took place at the Royal Cape Golf Club (par 73), which hosted it for the first time in Cape Town, South Africa.

The 24-year-old from Nottingham produced a strong finish against England’s Cara Gainer and Slovenia’s Pia Babnick, who had been tied for first place after three rounds. A 71 (-2, five birdies, one bogey, and one double bogey), the best score of the day achieved by several competitors, relegated them to second place with a 279 (-13) and third place with a 280 (-12), respectively.

Alessandra Fanali, returning from a bye, put in a strong performance, finishing seventh with a 285 (70 70 74 71, -7), and Anna Zanusso, 15th with a 287 (72 70 74 71, -5). Roberta Liti made up for her cut last week, finishing 37th with a 292 (72 68 77 75, par). Alessia Nobilio finished further back, finishing 50th with a 294 (66 77 77 74, +2).

In fourth place with a 283 (-9) were Austria’s Emma Spitz and Americans Anna Morgan and Brianna Navarrosa, while Fanali was joined by Moroccan Maha Haddioui and Canadian Anna Huang, both of whom won last year.

Esme Hamiltom, a pro since 2024, achieved her first LET victory in her 23rd appearance, which also earned her a spot on the Sunshine Tour. She received a cheque for €52,500 out of a prize pool of €350,000.
