Spanish golfer Jon Rahm said Thursday he wasn’t worried about the rumors casting doubt on the financial future and continuation of the LIV Golf League.

Jon Rahm spoke after finishing in second place at the end of the first day of action at LIV Golf, which is holding its sixth event of the 2026 season in Mexico City.

During the day, Scott O’Neil, executive director of LIV Golf, also spoke on the league’s website broadcast.

The executive denied that the circuit is going to disappear, but acknowledged that some changes are planned.

«What really excites me is how we’re going to move forward. I talked about some structural changes that are coming,» he noted.

Scott emphasized the unique nature of LIV Golf and the penetration it has achieved in its five years of existence.

Despite being only five years old, Scott O’Neil said that LIV Golf has a bright future and cited the major American sports leagues, where he has experience, as a benchmark.

LIV Golf is a league with just five years of history. I know there are those who are against LIV Golf, but is golf better without it?” the executive concluded.
