The most delicate moment came on the 10th hole: after an inaccurate drive, Rahm saved par with a putt from about 13 feet. He immediately responded with a birdie on the par-5 12th, while Puig bogeyed. That putt, Rahm explained, was decisive: “That six-shot lead could have quickly dwindled to three, and maybe one or two in the final.”

Tyrrell Hatton, a teammate who started in the same final pairing just two shots behind Rahm, instead made a double bogey on the second hole and never recovered, finishing with a 72 (+1) and a tie for fifth place.

David Puig (Fireballs GC) tried to keep pace with a strong start (birdies on three of the first four holes and an eagle on the seventh), reducing the deficit to three shots after the 10th hole. But it wasn’t enough: the 24-year-old Spaniard finished second at -15, his best career result in LIV Golf. Third place went to another Spaniard, Josele Ballester (Fireballs GC), at -14.

Rahm emphasized the value of the two young men: «Seeing their names up there, two friends, makes me want to beat them even more, but also to be careful because I know exactly what they’re capable of.» Puig and Rahm, who both live in Arizona and practice together almost every day, shared a moment of great satisfaction: «I spend more time with him than with my wife and children,» Rahm joked.

With this victory, Jon reaches 16 total LIV Golf trophies (4 individual titles, 2 Individual Championships, 9 team titles, and 1 Team Championship), surpassing Bryson DeChambeau (15) despite playing two fewer seasons. He became the fifth player to achieve at least four individual victories on the tour, joining Niemann, DeChambeau, Koepka, and Gooch.

Legion XIII also dominated the team standings, winning by a nine-shot margin over Fireballs GC (Southern Guards GC finished third). This is the team’s ninth regular season title, tying the Crushers’ record.

The high-elevation course (over 2,200 meters) favored extremely long drives: six shots over 365 meters in the final round, for a total of 21 for the week. The longest was that of Elvis Smylie (Ripper GC) at approximately 398 meters.

Bryson DeChambeau retired before the final lap with a wrist injury, ending his two-game winning streak.

A weekend dominated by the Spanish and a Legion XIII team in excellent form, propelling Jon Rahm into the hunt for his third consecutive individual title of the season. The LIV Golf circus now moves to Virginia.
