On the sidelines of the signing, the students participated in a golf simulation activity organized at the university by the GOLFPOP team. The initiative was a resounding success, attracting numerous students.

«The Memorandum of Understanding between LIUC – Cattaneo University and the Italian Golf Federation,» commented Federation President Cristiano Cerchiai, «marks the beginning of a journey in which sports practice and academic training will proceed on the same track. I thank the LIUC leadership, particularly former President Riccardo Comerio, new President Roberto Grassi, and LIUC Sport President Toto Bulgheroni, for promoting this partnership. By participating in the Study and Sport program promoted by LIUC, FIG-registered students will have the opportunity to combine books and golf clubs in their bags. The three-year project aims to offer young people a dual path of growth, both professional and competitive.

The initiative will also involve families and faculty; the Federation will present its promotional activities, starting with GOLFPOP, a project that will be launched in the first few months. of activities has already achieved significant results. Following the «Golf at School» project, the Italian Federation is now also bringing the university world onto the green, offering its target audience, of all age groups, the opportunity to combine education and sport. University leadership is also very pleased: «LIUC Sport’s journey,» explains new LIUC President Roberto Grassi, «also involves agreements like this, which allow us to enhance our offering through prestigious collaborations. LIUC is already involved in the world of golf, but now we will have the opportunity to do much more: offer a unique opportunity for golfing students who are choosing their university career and wish to combine study and sport. For those who already participate in this sport, we will be able to offer guidance and training and, together with the FIG, contribute to honing their competitive skills.

We are also pleased that the agreement includes a section dedicated to promoting a golf culture among students, faculty, and staff: an opportunity for the entire LIUC community to discover this sport through dedicated events. Furthermore, we aim to involve alumni as well, embracing golf both as a sport and as a tool for initiating and developing professional relationships.»

The agreement signing was also attended by the Rector of LIUC – Cattaneo University, Professor Anna Gervasoni, and FIG Federal Councilors Silvia Valli and Alberto Treves de Bonfili.
