The 22-year-old revealed what their matches brought. Alcaraz thinks the two are evenly matched, jokingly saying that Murray is sometimes «hard to handle» given that he likes to challenge his opponents.

“Then there’s the environment surrounding golf. For me, that’s the main thing, how beautiful it is.

I go with friends and have a great time. Then, there are tennis players who are very competitive, maybe not all of them, but the vast majority are super competitive, and golf makes you compete mainly against yourself, against the course, and then against the people you are playing with.»

According to him, the more he progresses in golf, the more he gets «hooked», which he describes as an incredible experience. The young tennis player has said many times that sometimes the world of tennis carries a lot of pressure and responsibility, and that it is important to sometimes get away from everything and focus on something completely different.

Carlos Alcaraz is currently absent from the tennis courts after his latest injury. The Spaniard hopes that his recovery will go in the direction he wants and that he will pick up a racket as soon as possible.

The world number two expects frequent matches between him and Jannik Sinner until the end of the season, which is why every tournament carries enormous significance for him in the fight for the leading place in the ATP rankings.
