“We’re playing for a lot of money and there are three really viable tours that have great tournaments.

From that perspective it’s a great time to be a pro, but it’s definitely got to be the best resolution that everyone has a clear pathway to the top and we know what that is.”- he continued.

He acknowledged that he doesn’t have any new information on how close they are to reaching an agreement, as he’s not in the loop any more than the general public is. Canter pointed out that while he reads the same news reports as everyone else, he feels that the tension between the tours has eased somewhat.

The statements from key figures on both tours give some hope that a solution could eventually be found regarding a PGA Tour and LIV Golf merger. However, these optimistic comments have been recurring month after month, without any clear progress toward a final resolution. Some people remain skeptical about the sincerity of the statements coming from both sides, as there has been little movement on the issue.
